Best weekend ever! (:

I had the best weekend ever since I came to London (: And its still making me happy (which has been pretty rare since the weather turned cold.) But, im starting to rediscover the beauty .. or attractiveness of London (I have to admit london is not beautiful but nevertheless, attractive).

Stef came down, mainly for some event though I would think she looked fwd to the visit for that the seminar ;) And its great to have her in town, cos I really miss having close friends around! Plus, I -finally- met up with dear mark, who (to my surprise) said that he was being antisocial as well. Heh, seems like London makes people become hermits eh? But im trying hard now not to, cos i think its not very healthy ... and neither it is to try too hard as well lar. So, currently still testing waters and seeing how things go.

While stef was in london, we went to watch 2 musicals- cabaret and lion king. Both were fantabulastic, though world's apart. The former was almost RA, well there were skin and such ;) (name suggests smthing kinky already, doesnt it!) Though, stef was being very objective about it (thk gdness she didnt start reciting out the parts of the muscles in the theatre!), and I having gone through dj's regime, aint shocked by anything anymore. It was alot better than expected. We have gone in cos we could get stall tickets for 20pounds, and i thought it was worth it and more. The plot was great, singers gd and set amazing!
Lion King was obviously PG-ed, and it was great too, though my favourite/ most anticipated scene (can you feel the love tonight) was out of tune! Harmonizing was wrong :( But otherwise, it was great! Bought tics for dj to join us, but due to some communication error (I didnt bring phone out and hers ran out of batt), her ticket went to waste. But it didnt spoil my mood that much, cos I was really THAT HAPPY during the wkend (((:

We shopped around in leicester square/ chinatown and bought alot of foodie stuff. I finally decided to splurge on tofu (sounds pretty sad ehs! but its a luxury here to me!), and bought soya bean as usual.
In addition, I brought stef to Camden and i totally love that place (in the morning of course. Since, i dont think i like being accosted by punks/ druggies in the night.). Its like a REALLY BIG far east, with random stuff from coats (which stef bought 1 for 35pounds and im planning to go back there to get) to punkish/ goth stuff. And there is like a MASSIVE sainsbury's there which we have classified as an attraction for stef's next visit to london. I cant wait for her to come again! And there is also this amazing food street there, Camden Lock, that has thai, indo, chinese and scandinavian food that looked and kinda tasted alike, but yummy nevertheless (:
I'm hoping that Stef'll come to London to do clinicals, then we can hang out weekly at Camden or go random sightseeing, and I think it would definitely make time more passable for me (:

Stef went back on sunday night, and she msged me on the train to tell me that on her way back, it was snowing outside the train. I can just imagine how beautiful it must have been! It's almost like a scene cut from harry potter. I'm getting jealous! (just that of course, i wont be able to afford a train ticket and would have to rely on national express >_<)

Now I have a whole long list of musicals that i would love to watch. I shall try to limit myself to 1-2 a month or everytime stef comes down. YAYY, suddenly life here aint that bad after all!

But for now ...
It's back to books.

'cos its gonna be exams in 2 weeks ... again.

And weekend's going to be burnt again. But no complaints! ((: I love weekends ... Its my greatest motivation for getting through through the week. JIAYOU PEISH!

Stef's in London.

Well, its unbelievable how Stef coming to London can brighten up my day (well, there isnt much sun here to begin with. and its pitch dark now). I havent been blogging much mainly cos of:

1. Inertia
2. Endless amount of revision: whoever said first year medics are slack should be shot and fried. Well, but i have to admit, its pretty much self- imposed? But isnt it for all courses anyway?
3. Loads of emails and wall posts to reply to on a daily basis: No complaints, since i really look forward to hearing from singapore (or whichever part my friends are from)
4. Skype: Skyping home sure takes up alot of time, and since i do it on a daily basis, it has kinda become a timetabled block.
5. Packing my room, washing dishes, laundry: I now have an idea why there is actually a demand for maids- Household chores sure take ALOT of time, even when my room is puny (well, as are all london rooms)
6. Sleeping: I seem to be sleeping alot and feeling very tired all the time. I have no idea why, but i really hope there is nothing wrong with me.
7. Long dinners: I'm starting to make an effort to start socialising and making friends with my hallmates. Well, its not going to work up for me if I keep holing up in my room, though i really prefer it this way. But social dinners with my hallmates are cool too, since I seem to have found a bunch that Im getting more comfortable with.
8. Socials: Ok, i have to admit, i dont really have many. But when I do, it takes up time too right ;) haha.
9. Crunchyroll/ youtube: I'd rather youtube/ crunchyroll over blog anytime. It's just that im going cold turkey to stop my addiction now.
10. PERPETUAL EXAMS: Exams in 2 weeks (again). Seriously, I feel like im in A level mode all the time. And I'm so looking forward to christmas break ... when I can use the time to .. guess what? Catch up -_-" hahha.

Time to pick up stef from King's Cross. Maybe i can explore and find that random trolley stuck in the wall (:
