This blog is supposed to be revived after my exams, but because Im still tapping UCL's roamnet from my room (meaning that i only get a teeny bit of duper slow net once in a little while) and that im so caught up with retail and good food therapy, Ive been finding it pretty hard to sit myself down to type anything.
But yes, Ive been combing oxford street and getting myself qte some good buys and picking up presents for people whose bday fell during the horror exam period. Quite proud of the couple of jeans and sweaters that i managed to get from Uniqlo (ok make it loads, considering i went mad with the colours they have and got qte a few for friends as well, just only 'cos i wanted all the colours but could not justify getting, it for myself), and shoes from Topshop, more shoes from Primark (yes they actually have some pretty nice shoes this season!), loads of stuff for my fam, a dress and top for Clinics (if i pass year 2 that is) from Dorothy Perkins and loads of random small stuff from here and there. And im so going to nab that summer bag from Gap (((:
Havent had such awesome retail therapy since ... see its so long tt i cant remember!
Ohoh and ernieee, if you see this please tell me if you are up for daring colours. I was so tempted to get you smthing more fun :P But i kinda realised that you arent dj eh?
And for those people are looking for good food at good prices ...
1. Zizzi's like one of the most awesome place ever! The staff at the branch in charlotte street are super friendly and the ambience is great and the food is really satisfying!
2. Garfunkel's coffee is wayy better than starbuck's or nero, and a large cup (eating it) is not much more than starbucks. And its pretty shiok sitting out there in the sun and watching the world go by.
3. Four Seasons at Bayswater is still better than the one at Chinatown, so if you can help it, make the trip down.
4. Inn Noodle is surprisingly good.
5. M&S's white choc cookie is addictive. Dont start on it unless you are prepared to finish like 3 at a go.
6. London's Pizza Hut (the one are Marble Arch at least) tastes 3x better than Singapore's. And def beat Pizza Express hands down (sorry!).
Seeing Lucy to coach her with her Chinese orals tmr, and meeting Rae for Inn Noodles again.
Off to Prague with Prisc in a couple of days and rushing to make some last minute bookings, and packing my room and moving house meanwhile.
Its nice to be busy about non- academic stuff really :)
