I just experienced the first loss in my life, when I received a call last Friday from my brother that my grandfather passed away. I was still talking to Jeffery, Sharan and Jas about him when I got that call.
The wake lasted from Saturday till Tuesday Noon, when he was driven to CCK Christian Cemetry to be buried. And I really would like to thank the people who were there to show me concern (: It makes me see how thoughtful the way some people can be. It's really beautiful how these people care for the people around them. People like Joshua, Joel, Garry and Melvin whom I have barely known, came down specially to show their care and to pray for me. And of course, those who have been there for me always, were there too, without fail- my buddies like Yushan, MichOng, Stef and Mon (: Thank you so much!
Life is going to get back to normal, like the way things were 2yrs ago before my grandfather moved in. I'm gonna miss his presence at home, but thank goodness, I'm busying myself with preparation for England. I'm trying to spend as much time as possible with my mum as well, cos I think she's missing my granddad a lot, afterall she took care of him most of the time when he was unwell. (In case you are wondering, this is my paternal granddad.)
Accompanied my Mum to Mt E yesterday, cos she wanted to thank the nurses and people there who had showered not only my granddad but also her with all the love, care and concern. It's really sweet the way some of them went the extra mile to offer help. We bought this yummy green tea cake from Sun Moulin for them (and I got myself a slice too) (: We shopped around in Paragon after that before going down to Tanjong Pagar to collect my UK visa (which showed a terrible picture of me).
Was out the whole morning and noon with my mum as well, cos she needed to go to the bank and stuff. Went down to the Concourse to get Thank You cards in bulk for my dad's friends who sent wreaths. Hung around in TopShop after that, found nothing that I liked, so now I'm TRYING TO SELL MY $40 TOPSHOP VOUCHER! Decided to be a kiasu Singaporean after that, and bought stationery in bulk from Orchard Popular cos it's the last day of the 20% storewide discount.
And now, it's almost time for dinner (: whee~!
